Weyburn’s Economic Development Office is the central point of contact for business assistance. We seek to foster economic growth in the Weyburn Region by working with investors, government and community partners. Weyburn Regional Economic Development represents two municipalities: the City of Weyburn and the Rural Municipality of Weyburn No.67.
Our Vision
By 2035, WRED and it’s initiatives with the City of Weyburn and the Rural Municipality of Weyburn will:
Increase the commercial tax base significantly in the Weyburn region,
Establish at least three clusters unique to and supportive of the Weyburn region,
Advocate for a regulatory environment and the infrastructure to support business growth,
Increase internal capacity in business development, retention, attraction, and research,
Increase the population of the Weyburn region.
