The Saskatchewan government amalgamated the province’s 12 health regions into one Health Authority. Rural and Remote Health Minister Greg Ottenbreit said moving to a single health authority should reduce boundary issues in areas such as long-term care and emergency medical services. All new Saskatchewan residents must register themselves and their dependents for a Saskatchewan health services card in order to be eligible for health benefits. To apply visit or visit your local health region office.
